Walk through the beautiful Kibale rainforest with experienced guides as you search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Along the journey, enjoy Uganda’s scenic countryside, rolling hills, lush tea plantations, forests, and vibrant local communities.
Morning:
Pick up from Kampala and drive west to Kibale National Park (about 5–6 hours).
Enjoy views of tea plantations and the beautiful Fort Portal landscape.
Arrive and check in at your lodge near the park.
Afternoon:
Guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.
Spot primates like colobus monkeys, mangabeys, and an array of bird species.
Learn about community-led conservation.
Evening:
Dinner and overnight at your lodge near Kibale Forest.
Early Morning:
Breakfast at the lodge.
Transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for briefing.
Head out for Chimpanzee Trekking (2–4 hrs). Encounter wild chimps and other primates such as red-tailed monkeys and olive baboons.
Late Morning:
Return from the trek and check out of the lodge.
Afternoon–Evening:
Drive back to Kampala (approx. 5–6 hrs).
