Day 1: Kampala → Kibale & Bigodi Wetland Walk

  • Morning:

    • Pick up from Kampala and drive west to Kibale National Park (about 5–6 hours).

    • Enjoy views of tea plantations and the beautiful Fort Portal landscape.

    • Arrive and check in at your lodge near the park.

  • Afternoon:

    • Guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

    • Spot primates like colobus monkeys, mangabeys, and an array of bird species.

    • Learn about community-led conservation.

  • Evening:

    • Dinner and overnight at your lodge near Kibale Forest.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking → Return to Kampala

  • Early Morning:

    • Breakfast at the lodge.

    • Transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for briefing.

    • Head out for Chimpanzee Trekking (2–4 hrs). Encounter wild chimps and other primates such as red-tailed monkeys and olive baboons.

  • Late Morning:

    • Return from the trek and check out of the lodge.

  • Afternoon–Evening:

    • Drive back to Kampala (approx. 5–6 hrs).

    • Drop off at your hotel or residence in the evening.
