Day One: Masindi – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls National Park
06:30 am – Depart Masindi town and drive towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, enjoying views of rural countryside and farmlands.
09:00 am – Arrive at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and register at the visitor centre.
09:30 am – Begin a guided rhino tracking experience on foot with professional rangers. Learn about rhino conservation while observing the endangered white rhinos at close but safe distance.
11:30 am – End of rhino tracking and short refreshment break.
12:30 pm – Drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
02:30 pm – Enter the park and proceed to the Top of the Falls.
03:00 pm – Explore the Top of the Falls, where the River Nile squeezes through a narrow 7-metre gorge, creating powerful sprays, thunderous sounds, and spectacular viewpoints.
05:00 pm – Start an evening game drive, searching for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife as temperatures cool.
06:30 pm – End of game drive and relax for the evening.
Day Two: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise
06:00 am – Early morning game drive on the northern bank, the best time to see wildlife at its most active. Possibility of spotting lions, hyenas, giraffes, elephants, and large herds of antelopes.
08:30 am – End of game drive.
09:30 am – Breakfast and rest time.
01:00 pm – Transfer to the river landing site.
02:00 pm – Begin the boat cruise on the River Nile. Enjoy close views of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous water birds along the riverbanks.
04:00 pm – Boat cruise ends near the base of the falls.
05:00 pm – Return and relax in the evening.
Day Three: Budongo Forest Chimpanzee Tracking – Return to Masindi
06:30 am – Breakfast and exit Murchison Falls National Park.
07:30 am – Drive to Budongo Forest Reserve.
08:30 am – Arrive at the ranger station for a chimpanzee tracking briefing, including forest rules and safety guidelines.
09:00 am – Start the chimpanzee tracking experience, walking through the tropical forest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Observe chimps feeding, grooming, and interacting, along with other primates and bird species.
12:00 pm – End of chimpanzee tracking.
01:00 pm – Drive back to Masindi town.
02:30 pm – Arrival in Masindi, marking the end of the safari.
