When you arrive in Uganda, you can exchange your foreign currency into Ugandan Shillings (UGX) at Entebbe International Airport. Several forex bureaus and banks are available for currency exchange.
It is best to carry some US Dollars (USD), as they are widely accepted and easy to exchange. Euros and British Pounds can also be exchanged.
For convenience, you can exchange a small amount at the airport for transport, food, airtime, or other immediate needs, then exchange more money in town where you may find better rates.
