Start your day with an early morning game drive in Akagera National Park. Explore the park’s savannah plains and look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife.
After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Ihema. Keep an eye out for hippos, crocodiles, and different species of birds along the lake.
Return to your lodge for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

After breakfast, leave Akagera and travel to Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda.
On arrival, enjoy a city experience depending on your time. You can visit local markets, see some of Kigali’s important places, or simply relax at your hotel.

After breakfast, continue to the rainforest for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience.
Walk through the forest with your guide as you search for chimpanzees. You may also see monkeys, birds, butterflies, and other forest life.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the rainforest before returning to your lodge for rest.

Today is one of the most exciting days of your Rwanda safari — gorilla trekking.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing. Then enter the forest with your guides and begin your trek in search of a mountain gorilla family.
Once you find the gorillas, enjoy this special experience as you watch them in their natural habitat. You will have time to take photographs while following the park rules.
After the trek, return to your lodge and relax.

After breakfast, drive to Kibuye on the shores of Lake Kivu.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you travel through Rwanda’s green countryside and hills. When you arrive in Kibuye, check in at your hotel and enjoy time to relax.
Take a walk, enjoy the fresh air, or simply sit back and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Kivu.

After breakfast, continue to Gisenyi, a beautiful town located on the shores of Lake Kivu.
Enjoy the lake views and some free time before starting your transfer to the airport for your flight home.
