Begin an early morning journey from your lodge in Masindi or the Murchison Falls area to the lush Budongo Forest Reserve, home to the famous Kaniyo Pabidi chimpanzee tracking area.

Early departure to Budongo Forest with scenic countryside views along the way.
07:30 – 08:00 | Arrival & Registration
Arrival at Kaniyo Pabidi briefing and registration point.
08:00 – 11:00 | Chimpanzee Trekking Experience
Guided forest walk in search of chimpanzees. You may also encounter black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, butterflies, and various bird species. Once located, you will spend up to one hour observing chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
11:00 – 11:30 | Return Walk
Trek back to the starting point.
11:30 – 12:30 | Optional Activities
Short nature walk, visit the forest information center, or relax with refreshments (self-arranged).
12:30 | Departure
Return to your lodge or continue with other safari activities.
